Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–June 17, 2016. Independence Day in Park Forest has been one of the most popular community celebrations for years.
This year’s fun begins on July 4 at 6 p.m. with the annual parade. The parade begins at the corner of Main Street and Orchard Drive and proceeds north to Westwood Drive, then continues westbound on Westwood Drive to Lakewood Boulevard, making its final turn at Lakewood Boulevard and ending just past Central Park.
Community groups interested in participating in the parade should contact Officer Todd Beilke at 708-748-4701. The deadline is June 24.
Following the parade, a LIVE concert by BBI takes place DownTown from 7p.m . to 9:15 p.m. Then enjoy a 15-minute fireworks display, viewable from Central Park and the Village Green DownTown, beginning at dusk.
