March for Meals – Rich Township Meals on Wheels Program

‘March for Meals’ Party to be held on Monday, March 10

Richton Park, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 4, 2014. The Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) created March for Meals Campaign in 2000 to call attention to the problem of senior hunger in America. Our slogan, “So no senior goes hungry,” is the rallying cry of the campaign and the Association. MOWAA would like all Meals on Wheels programs to unite in a collective effort to improve the visibility of senior nutrition programs nationwide. On a designed day in March each year, mayors and elected/appointed officials across the country, deliver meals and or serve their seniors in their community. This event garners meadia attention, both locally and nationally and helps raise public awareness about senior hunger.
