Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—July 7, 2013. Enjoy all that the Thorn Creek Nature Preserve has to offer on the free Eco-Exploration Hike, Sunday, July 21 from 1-3 p.m. We’ll get a sense of the “wild” in this large nature preserve. Hikers of all ages will visit and learn about the woodlands, wetlands and prairies. Participants should be prepared to walk 2 miles on natural surface trails across uneven terrain. Registration is required by Friday, July 19.

Thorn Creek Nature Center is open Friday-Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. and three and a half miles of trails are open daily, dawn to dusk and is located at 247 Monee Road, Park Forest.
