Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—September 12, 2017. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 70 Sycamore Drive in Park Forest, will host a ‘Building Community for Justice’ workshop on Saturday, September 15 at 10 a.m.
‘Building Community for Justice’ begins with listening thoughtfully and deeply to the ideas of others, whether we agree or disagree with those ideas. This will be the focus of the September 16th workshop with Rev. Scott Aaseng.
They can also be a way to build solidarity with marginalized peoples, as well as to build bridges with those who do not share our views. Once a core of participants gains experience with this practice, the goal is to bring it into the community at large– as a tool for achieving social justice that could also enhance our relationships in our own UUCC.
The event is open to the public.
