Ben Shaw of Shaw Media to Join the Faculty of 2011 Mobile and Social Networking Boot Camp

Des Plaines, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Ben Shaw, chief digital officer, Shaw Media Corporate Services, Dixon, Ill., will join the faculty of the 2011 Mobile and Social Networking Boot Camp, scheduled to be held April 27-28 in the training facility of the Inland Press Association headquarters in Des Plaines, Ill.

Shaw was recently named to Editor & Publisher’s annual 25 under 35 list, which recognizes "people who are young, bright and capable of tackling whatever the changing newspaper climate throws at them."

He was recognized for his role in developing a tablet-specific site for the Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake, Ill., which won the company a "Best Online Innovation" award from the Inland Press Association.

The 2011 Mobile and Social Networking Boot Camp is a day-and-a-half conference designed to help you understand the mobile and social networking environment and give you the information you need to develop a strategy for your news operation.

In addition to Shaw, faculty members include: Henry M. Lopez, professional digital development and projects manager for The Santa Fe (N.M.) New Mexican; Jon Maroney, senior vice-president of mobile publishing; Paul Wagner, CEO of Forkfly, in Portland, Ore.; and Greg Swanson, founder of ITZ Publishing, in Portland, Ore.
