Frankfort, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The American Islamic Association (AIA) of Frankfort, IL, is pleased to invite residents of Frankfort and surrounding communities to its annual Community Picnic from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
The purpose of the fair is to bring members of the Frankfort and surrounding communities together for a day of fun, great food, and fellowship.
The fair is open to all… Muslims, non-Muslims, members, non-members!
ACTIVITIES TO ENJOY:
- American and ethnic foods
- Interactive tours of the mosque, which will give visitors a chance to ask questions and get an up-close and personal glimpse inside the building
- LifeSource to conduct Blood Drive… Every life is worth saving!
- Free health checkup
- Games for children and adults
- Pony rides
- 3-on-3 Basketball tournament and 3-Point Shootout competitions
- Various vendors selling clothes from the Subcontinent, jewelry and cosmetics
The American Islamic Association is located at 8860 W. St Francis Rd, Frankfort, IL 60423. It has a Prayer Hall, a Banquet Hall, and a Sunday School on its premises. It caters to the religious, social, and educational needs of hundreds of families in its surrounding neighborhoods. AIA has been a contributing and active community member of the Village of Frankfort, taking part in numerous interfaith and community service projects.
