‘American Dream, American Nightmare’ to be Screened Saturday, February 25 at UUCC

Discussion following film to include issues related to proposed Immigration Detention Center in Crete, IL

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—February 16, 2012.  ‘American Dream, American Nightmare,’ will be shown on Saturday, February 25 at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive, Park Forest.  ‘American Dream, American Nightmare,’ an A&E Investigative Report, explores the rapid growth and disturbing violence that has marked the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Immigrants who have gone through the system tell their sad and sometimes terrifying stories.  

There will be a discussion following the film that will focus on current issues related to the proposed Immigration Detention Center  in Crete, Illinois, and larger issues regarding immigration.

Coffee, tea, and popcorn will be provided.  The event is free and open to the public.  Optional donations are welcome.
