11th Annual Interfaith Day of Prayer to Heal and Renew the Environment on Sunday, July 10

Blessing the Waters — Heal Our River

Blue Island, IL–(ENEWSPF)–July 1, 2016.  The 11th Annual Interfaith Day of Prayer to Heal and Renew the Environment will be held on Sunday, July 10 at 3 p.m. at the Cal-Sag Canal Waterfall, 2250 Fulton Street in Blue Island.

With daily reports of lead in our drinking water, droughts, horrific flooding, wild forest fires, and oil spills into our streams and oceans, we are reminded of the importance of water, and our responsibility as stewards of the earth to maintain a clean and healthy planet. During the event, we will acknowledge how precious our water is, and to pray for clean air, water, and the earth.  We will also have a special remembrance of our dear friend, Rev. Rod Reinhart.
There will be music, drumming and refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.
Please join us at this lovely spot along the river to meet friends and pray for our environment.

The Cal-Sag Waterfall is located 4 blocks east of Western Avenue; 2 blocks south of Vermont Street (Chatham & Fulton Streets) — look for signs.
