Matteson, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Hot apple cider, gingerbread cookies, Elvis and a half-off sale. What more could anyone ask on a beautiful Tuesday morning in Matteson?

Those, of course, weren’t the only perks of Customer Appreciation Day at Sertoma Centre’s Good as New Thrift Store on November 4. Shoppers were also entered into a free raffle to win some exclusive Good as New holiday goodies.

Many customers took advantage of the 50% off day, some making a bee-line for items they had been waiting to purchase, and others perusing the aisles slowly, filling their carts to the top in the process.

Late in the morning, store manager Diane Sak introduced a fully costumed Elvis (a.k.a. impersonator Dennie E. Collier) who sang a few classic tunes to an appreciative and enthusiastic crowd.

And with raffles being held every half hour, customers were more than willing to look up from their dynamite bargains to see if they were going to be the next lucky winner.

Shoppers were also happy to learn that the date of the next 50% off sale will be Tuesday, December 2.

During this sale, half-price deals will be available on all merchandise. This also includes holiday décor and Blue Tag items in the New is Good section, where customers can find great deals on brand-new housewares items.

All proceeds from Good as New Thrift Store benefit programs at Sertoma Centre in Alsip , for over 600 individuals with developmental, physical, emotional disabilities and/or mental illness.

Sertoma Centre Good as New Thrift Store is located at 4331 West Lincoln Highway in Matteson. Store hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10am-5pm; Tuesday, Thursday 10am-7pm.
