Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–July 15, 2016. Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL) issued the following statement today in response to the terrorist attack in Nice, France:
“I join all Americans in mourning the loss of life in the horrific terrorist attack in Nice, France. I offer my condolences to the families of those we’ve lost. And to those who have been injured, I offer my prayers. That the people of France have had to endure yet another attack on their liberty on Bastille Day, a celebration of that very liberty, is especially galling. We must come together in solidarity with France and recommit to ridding the world of the forces of hate and terror that threaten the safety and security of us all.”
Congresswoman Kelly serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade, as well as the House Oversight and Government Reform’s National Security Subcommittee.
