Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Congresswoman Robin Kelly will host a Youth Job Expo for young men and women between the ages of 16 and 23 on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, in the Media Center of Rich South High School, 5000 Sauk Trail, Richton Park.
More than 50 employers will be accepting applications for active job openings, summer internships and apprenticeships. Representatives from various agencies and youth services will also be on hand to talk with young people about program offerings that will help them succeed. Business attire is highly recommended. Bring resumes with you, as some employers may conduct interviews on-site. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Parking is available outside the school’s auditorium, just off Sauk Trail on the north end of the West Lot.
Prior to the Expo, Rep. Kelly is sponsoring a Job Readiness Workshop to help young people enhance their interview skills, build their resumes, and more. Park Forest Youth Commission Job Fair Workshop and Job Fair
The Park Forest Youth Commission also hosts a Teen Job Fair Workshop on Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Village Hall. This free event teaches youth how to communicate with purpose, how to highlight their strengthens and how to make a strong impression. Youth will also learn how to complete a job application, learn interviewing skills, how to dress for success, and the importance of W-2s. A Teen Job Fair takes place April 27 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Dining on the Green.
