Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–July 11, 2013. On Thursday, July 11, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) announced a grant of $100,000 in capacity building assistance (CBA) to the American Academy of Pediatrics, headquartered in Elk Grove Village. The Department of Health and Human Services grant will go towards improving public health delivery.
“I am encouraged that an investment is being made in the 8th Congressional District and the American Academy of Pediatrics’ commitment to public health,” said Duckworth. “The taxpayers of Illinois contribute more than their fair share to the Federal government and I am pleased to see that resources are coming back to the 8th Congressional District.
