Congressman Jackson To Host Health Care Reform Town Hall Meeting

Washington, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–June 28, 2009.  Congressman Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. will host a series of town hall meetings about health care reform during the next several weeks.  The first meeting will be held in the south suburbs during Congress’ July District Work Period.

Congressman Jackson stated, “Health care reform is the top priority of President Obama and the Congress.  I am committed to working with my colleagues to forge an overhaul plan this year that reduces costs, extends coverage to the uninsured and improves the quality of health care in our country.”

“The upcoming town hall meeting is an important opportunity for me to provide my constituents with an update about the efforts and proposals to fix our broken health care system.  The meeting also will give me the chance to hear from constituents and carry their ideas, perspectives and experiences back to the Capitol,” Jackson said.

The south suburban Town Hall Meeting on Health Care Reform will be held on Wednesday, July 1 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Country Club Hills City Hall, 4200 West Main Street, Country Club Hills, Illinois.
