Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The earth’s crust is still settling off the coast of Japan. On Thursday, more than a month since the March 11 9.0 magnitude quake and subsequent tsunami, another aftershock registered, this one clocking in at 6.1 magnitude, the United States Geological Survey reports.
Rumbling perilously close to Tokyo at 8:37:03 AM (CDT), the epicenter was only 64 km (39 miles) E of TOKYO, Japan; 76 km (47 miles) ENE of Yokohama, Honshu, Japan; 82 km (50 miles) S of Mito, Honshu, Japan; and 115 km (71 miles) SSE of Utsunomiya, Honshu, Japan.
