Beltane at Sylvan Sanctuary

Gather with your kindred
and celebrate the flowers!
Revel in this springtime
with feasting and with fire!
Circle round the Maypole,
come dancing with the fae!
Beltane draws the veil thin
and brings in merry May!

You are warmly, wildly, and ardently invited to celebrate Beltane at Sylvan Sanctuary! We are an inclusive, eclectic neopagan circle in covenant with the Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Park Forest.

Our events are fun and free. We welcome all in our circle so long as you abide the rede:

An’ ye harm none, do what ye will.

All ages, all genders, all paths.

Schedule:

2 p.m. – Ribbon wand craft and social hour
3 p.m. – Circle and fire (in the event of rain, we’ll forego the fire and hold our circle inside the sanctuary)
3:30ish – Maypole and potluck feast

Things to bring:

– An outdoor chair if you’d like to sit during the circle
– A potluck dish to share
– Drum or hand percussion if you’re so inclined
– Non-alcoholic beverage of your choice

Things we always welcome:

– Fire wood
– Incense
– New faces
– Old friends
