Update Monday, April 5: Because of another event taking place at St. Ireneaus Church, the stamp show will only be held on Saturday, not Saturday and Sunday has was previously reported.

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Park Forest Stamp Club will welcome the public to its fiftieth anniversary Postage Stamp Show, PARFOREX 50, on Saturday April 10 in St. Irenaeus Church Parish Hall (Gymnasium), South Orchard Drive and Cherry Street in Park Forest, IL. Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

World-wide stamps, covers, cards, collections and supplies for collecting will be bought and sold at dealer tables. Free appraisals of stamps and collections will be available. Door prizes and a five cent table are included. Free stamps and activities will be provided for youth. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to receive aid in qualifying for Stamp Collecting merit badges at the show.

Displayed will be more than 500 pages of competitive exhibits prepared by club members from Novice to National award winners. Each exhibit will be evaluated and awarded a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon. A Grand award winner will also be chosen. The judges’ critique will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The show theme, commemoration of the 50 anniversary of the election of JFK and of the 50 State Flag, reflected in a special cachet and cancel available at the show for $1 or 3 for $2.50. To purchase by mail, send a check and SASE to the Park Forest Stamp Club, Box 606, Park Forest, IL 60466.
