Park Forest Swears In 5 New Police Officers

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Village of Park Forest recently swore in five new police officers. All five officers are currently at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage and will graduate on September 27th. They will then enter the department’s Field Training Program where they will spend the next 16-18 weeks with a Park Forest training officer.

Police Officer Jeremy Spirakes

Officer Jeremy Spirakes is 22 years old, grew up in Orland Park and attended Lewis University where he attained his Bachelor’s Degree. Jeremy worked as a Community Service Officer for the Village of Orland Park before being hired by our village. Officer Spirakes finished first on the most recent hiring list. He will have his badge pinned on him by Police Chief Cliff Butz.

Police Officer James Jachymiak

Officer James Jachymiak is 24 years old and originally came to the Park Forest Police Department in 2009 from the Frankfort Police department where he was serving as a Part-Time Community Service Officer. Police Officer Evelyn Bona

Officer Evelyn Bona is 23 years old, grew up in Park Forest and graduated from Rich East High School. She attended Western Illinois University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree after serving an internship with our Police Department. Evelyn accepted a part-time position with the village as a Community Service officer in 2012.
