As more bipartisan support continues to grow in America for commonsense immigration reform, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R- KY) today added his voice to the national discussion, urging his party to relent its long-standing opposition to a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the country and work towards a solution.
Sen. Paul’s address to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Legislative Summit echoes a recent report to the Republican National Committee recommending that the party “embrace and champion comprehensive immigration reform.” The evolving rhetoric of conservatives on immigration continues to augment the growing consensus for commonsense immigration reform with a roadmap to citizenship.
From Evangelical leaders to environmental and black immigrant-led organizations, more bipartisan and diverse groups are lending their voices to call on Congress to pass a fair and reasonable immigration bill.
