Mary Frances Meadows, nee Butler, age 81, of Park Forest, September 15, 1928 – June 7, 2010. She is survived by her children, James and Catherine, and her niece, Marianne Yokiel, along with a grand-nephew and grand-niece. She was preceded in death by her husband James, and sister Jeanne. Mrs. Meadows grew up in Louisiana, and attended Louisiana State University and Tulane University, graduating from the latter with a master’s degree in biochemistry. A Park Forest resident since 1958, she belonged to the Church of the Holy Family. She loved reading, folk music, gardening and needlepoint, and belonged to the Ridge Needlepointers and the Homewood Embroiderer’s Guild.  Memories of her intelligence, humor and kindness are her legacy to family and friends. Funeral mass Saturday, June 26th at 11 AM at Church of the Holy Family, Sauk Trail at Orchard, Park Forest.
