Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Approximately $400 of copper piping was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on June 20.

A juvenile was arrested on June 21 and processed on two counts of burglary to motor vehicle after police investigated a series of such burglaries.

Police say a man yelled at a young girl and began dragging her by the hand, away from her mother, on June 21 in Central Park. The identity of the man was unknown to the victim. He is described as an older white male, possibly 60 years of age, wearing gray dress pants and a white shirt with blue stripes.

A juvenile was arrested on June 23 and processed on a charge of criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of a disturbance. Police say a citizen advised police that the juvenile would not let her proceed westbound on Sauk Trail in her vehicle. The juvenile allegedly walked right in front of the vehicle and refused to move, according to police.

Andrea K. Hawkins, 432 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was issued a municipal citation on June 22 charging disorderly house when police on patrol observed approximately 150 to 200 juveniles inside and outside of that residence. Police say several of the juveniles who attended the party told them that Hawkins was charging an admission fee of $3.50 to access her yard and house. Police say they were at the residence on June 8 when there was another party attended by approximately 150 juveniles. Police say on that date Hawkins was warned that disturbances caused as a result of her party were unacceptable and would not be tolerated again.

A juvenile was arrested on June 22 and processed on a charge of disorderly conduct when police responded to the residence referenced above where there was a very large party.

Two juveniles were arrested on June 22 and issued municipal citations charging trespassing when police responded to the 400 block of Sauk Trail in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Catalytic converters were reported stolen from five trucks parked at a business in the 2200 block of Western Avenue on June 23.

Denero H. Webb, 24, 441 W 16th St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on June 24 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

The driver’s side door of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Washington Street was reported damaged with a dent on June 24.

A 40-inch flat-screen Insignia television valued at $250 and a 46-inch flat-screen Insignia television valued at $570 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on June 25. Police say entry was made by forcing open a door.

Barbara Ann Nelson, 54, 295 Dogwood St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 25 and charged with aggravated assault when police were dispatched to the first block of Well Court to investigate a domestic violence complaint.

Police say approximately $15 cash was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Lakewood Boulevard on June 25.

An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on June 25 to investigate a report of credit card fraud. A resident told police she discovered over $2800 in unauthorized charges on her account.

A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on June 26.

Dexter W. Weeks, 21, 17835 S. Dekker St., Lansing, was arrested on June 26 and charged with obstructing identification and one felony count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after an officer patrolling in the area of Western Avenue and Fir Street observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Western Avenue without a rear registration plate light. The driver of the vehicle, Reginald Wilder, 21, 131 157th St., Calumet City, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and issued citations charging failure to wear a properly adjusted and fastened seatbelt and no rear registration plate light. Two other passengers in the vehicle, Donnail Hannah, 24, 1408 Ambassador Ln., Ford Heights, and Claud Hawthorne, 23, 241 Allegheny St., Park Forest, were arrested and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis. Police discovered a black revolver under the rear drivers side seat loaded with six .357 Magnum rounds of ammunition.

A purple mountain bike valued at $200 was reported stolen from the first block of Choate Road on June 26.

An Xbox 360 game valued at $200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on June 27.

A Black & Decker cordless electric mower valued at $319.55 was reported stolen from the 2800 block of Western Avenue on June 27. Police say a resident told them she was mowing her lawn, stop mowing the grass to pick up debris around the perimeter of her residence, temporarily leaving the mower near the court E-7 sign. When she returned a moment later, she observed a charcoal gray pickup truck leaving the court with the lawnmower in the back.

An E-mu SP 1200 Turbo Sampler Drum Machine valued at $200 was reported stolen from outside a residence in the 200 block of Marquette Street on June 27.

A resident told police on June 28 that she learned from the IRS that an unknown person had filed a 2011 tax return under her name and Social Security number, receiving a federal tax refund in the amount of $10,000. Police are investigating.

Adam J. Cano, 20, 247 Carriage Ln., Sauk Village, and Ryan C. Cox, 20, 1309 Franklin St., Chicago Heights, were arrested on June 28 and charged with one count of felony burglary each after police responded to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 300 block of Ottawa Street.

Charles B. Harris Sr., 52, 331 Nokomis St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 28 and charged with harassment by telephone after an officer was dispatched to Park Forest Village Hall to investigate a report of several threatening and disturbing voice mail messages left for a village employee.

A juvenile was arrested on June 29 and processed on a charge of possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Forest Boulevard in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Readale Thomas, 48, 232 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 29 and charged with obstructing a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Shardae S. Smith, 26, 19333 Oakwood Ave., Country Club Hills, was arrested on June 29 and charged with retail theft and battery when police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of retail theft that had just occurred. A second individual, Omisha L. Harris, 19722 Sequoia Ave., Lynwood, was arrested and charged with battery.

Eleven catalytic converters valued at $16,500 total were reported stolen from trucks parked in the 2200 block of Western Avenue on June 30.

A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Tampa Street on June 30.

A 20-inch Hyper boys bicycle valued at $100 was reported stolen from the 100 block of Westwood Drive on June 30.
