The wife of a Millbury, Massachusetts police officer reported a break-in and vandalism at their home two weeks ago on Oct. 17. On Oct. 28 Millbury’s police chief announced that the entire affair was a lie:
Police Chief Donald P. Desorcy, at a news conference Friday afternoon, said there was no intruder in the house of Officer Daniel Daly, as originally reported. Instead, the chief said, the officer’s wife, Maria Daly, concocted a story about a break-in, apparently because of financial problems.
“The wife of Officer Daly, Maria Daly, fabricated the entire story,” Chief Desorcy said. “There was no break-in in the home. There was no larceny from the home. All property that was alleged to be taken has been recovered.”
Mrs. Daly will be charged with filing a false police report and misleading a police investigation. Criminal charges were filed Friday morning in Central District Court in Worcester, with a court summons to be issued for a later date. […]
In addition to telling police that jewelry estimated to be worth $10,000 was stolen from the premises, Mrs. Daley said the perpetrator scrawled “BLM” on the outside rear of the house.
According to WBZ-4, a Boston CBS affiliate:
“Just after she filed the police report, [Maria Elena] Daly took to social media saying, “We woke up to not only our house being robbed while we were sleeping, but to see this hatred for no reason.””
Obviously, that hatred Daly was referring to was in reference to Black Lives Matter’s alleged attitude toward law enforcement. It should be clear by now however, that the only hatred that is being spewed these days is toward Black Lives Matter by cops, their unions, and their supporters. And their wives.
Officer Daniel Daly, who is the department’s K-9 officer, has not been implicated or charged in his wife’s lie.
