University Park, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Governors State University is celebrating 50 years of empowering innovation with a premier black-tie fundraiser, The Glitter & Gold Marvel Gala, on Friday, April 5 in the Center for Performing Arts.

Chicago Comedian Damon Williams will host the event, the first in a series of Governors State’s 50thanniversary celebrations though June 2020.

GSU’s esteemed alumni, faculty, community and business leaders, and students will be celebrated throughout the night, which will feature a networking reception, gourmet dinner, and live entertainment.
