Prairie State College Board of Trustees Seeking Qualified Candidates for Open Trustee Position

CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–July 20, 2015.  The Prairie State College (PSC) Board of Trustees is seeking candidates to fill a vacant position. The board will appoint an interim trustee to serve until the next PSC election in 2017.

To qualify, a candidate must be a registered voter and a resident of Illinois Community College District 515 for a minimum of one year prior to the appointment. Applicants also must submit a letter of interest and a complete prospective member profile. Additional information and forms are available online at prairiestate.edu/about-us/board-of-trustees. The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 3.

The applicants selected will be interviewed and the new board member is expected to be chosen and sworn in at the Aug. 25 board meeting.

The interim trustee will fill the position left open by Peg Donohue, who recently resigned from the board, effective June 30, 2015. This was Donohue’s second term on the board. She was first elected in 2005, and served a six-year term. She was again elected in 2013 to serve another six-year term. In addition to serving on the PSC board, Donohue has been involved in numerous southwest suburban organizations.

“We have enjoyed working with Peg, and will miss her exceptional years of services to the PSC board.” said Board Chair Jacqueline Agee.
