Governors State and YWCA Metropolitan Chicago to Sign Advocacy Agreement for Sexual Assault Prevention, Education and Training


University Park, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 26, 2015. Leaders of Governors State University and YWCA Metropolitan Chicago will sign a “Memo of Understanding” (MOU) to provide advocacy, training and education services regarding sexual assault. The document will be signed during a Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) kickoff program at Governors State Tuesday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m. in Engbretson Hall, B1200.

The YWCA CEO Dorri C. McWhorter will speak as well as Illinois State Senator Toi Hutchinson (D)-40th and University Park Mayor Vivian E. Covington will also be in attendance and will address the forward thinking by GSU and the community on Title IX issues.
