Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

A juvenile was arrested on April 15 and charged with one count of criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Orchard Drive in reference to a report of approximately 30 juveniles who were about to fight.

A black Sony PS4 and controller and three PS4 games, valued at $550 total, were reported stolen during a residential burglary in the 300 block of Sauk Trail on May 1.

Approximately six feet of copper piping was reported stolen from a central air-conditioning unit of a residence in the first block of Sauk Trail on May 2.

All four tires from two vehicles parked in the Metra parking lot, 520 Homan Avenue, were reported stolen on May 2. According to police, the two vehicles were missing all four tires and rims. The vehicles were set atop cinderblocks.

Dwayne Carlton Hubbard, 40, 8372 Aster Dr., Apt. 1A, Merrilville, IN, was arrested on May 3 and charged with driving while under the influence, operation of a motor vehicle with no valid insurance, and improper parking in the roadway when an officer patrolling eastbound on Sauk Trail approaching Western Avenue noticed a vehicle parked in the westbound lanes of Sauk Trail with the hazard lights on. According to police, both passenger side tires were flat. Both tires had very large holes in the sidewall and were missing pieces of rubber, according to police.

Police were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy, 1 Main Street, on May 4, in reference to a report of retail theft. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

John M. Sons, 44, 376 Miami St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 4 and charged with felony driving while license was revoked when an officer on patrol traveling South on Western Avenue near Sauk Trail observed a vehicle with no front registration plate stopped at the light in the eastbound lane of Sauk Trail at Western Avenue, according to police. Sons was also issued traffic citations charging no front registration plate and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

A vehicle parked in the first block of Park Street was reported vandalized with multiple scratch marks on May 4.

Approximately 1000 feet of 1-inch PVC piping was reported stolen from Michelle Obama School of Arts and Technology, 215 Wilson Street, on May 4. The value of the piping is approximately $1100, according to police.

An iPhone 6 was reported stolen during a party at a residence in the 200 block of Kentucky Street on May 4.

A door of a residence in the 1st block of Hemlock Street was reported kicked in on May 5. There was also damage to drywall inside the unit.

Celeste M. Krumrie, 53, 322 Nassau St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 5 and charged with assault when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Nassau Street to investigate a disturbance occurring between neighbors.

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive was reported vandalized with a long scratch mark on May 6. The scratch was along the front and rear driver side doors, according to police.

Johnathan Pearson, 32, 4220 Applewood Ln., Matteson, was arrested on May 6 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer conducting a park check at Logan Park, 207 Grant Street, observed a vehicle parked in the northeast corner of the parking lot. As the officer pulled up next to the car, a subject in the driver’s seat sat up, quickly made eye contact with the officer, and then leaned his seat back until he was totally out of view of the officer, according to police. The vehicle was towed per local ordinance.

A cell phone was reported stolen from a computer desk at the Park Forest Public Library on May 6.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Somonauk Street on May 7 to investigate a suspicious person complaint. Police were advised that a male subject had jumped out of the bushes and taken the keys of the complainant and then went around the side of the house and an unknown direction. The suspect is described as an African American male, dark skin, between 28 and 35 years of age, 150 to 175 pounds, between 5’6" and 5’9", slim build, wearing a dark colored jacket, a dark colored shirt, a blue flat brim baseball cap, and a pair of round black sunglasses.

Lakeisha K. Smith, 38, 412 Stanton St., Park Forest, was issued a local ordinance citation charging dog running at large when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Stanton Street to investigate a report of two dogs running at large.

Arletha R. Usher, 50, 243 Minocqua St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 9 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol count over .08, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Blackhawk Drive to investigate a single vehicle accident in which the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. According to police, Usher had a blood alcohol count of .295.

The rear bumper of a vehicle parked in the first block of Park Street was reported vandalized with several, deeply embedded horizontal scratches on May 8.

Rickey K. Ruff, 21, 339 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on May 9 and charged with possession of cannabis and failure to wear a seatbelt when an officer parked in a vacant lot near Blackhawk Drive and Miami Street observed Ruff driving southbound on Blackhawk Drive near Miami Street without a seatbelt, according to police.

Eddie D. Green, 23, 40 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on May 9 and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, driving while license was suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper display of registration sticker, and operating a vehicle with expired registration. An officer traveling eastbound on Sauk Trail approaching Western Avenue conducted a LEADS inquiry of the registration of a vehicle driving eastbound on Sauk Trail and learned that it had expired in March 2015. While searching the vehicle, police discovered a fully loaded dark gray revolver under the driver’s seat of the vehicle, according to police.

Timothy D. Sanders, 23, 1625 Ingrid Ln., Chicago Heights, was arrested on May 10 and charged with misdemeanor driving while license was suspended and possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the 1st block of McCarthy Street in reference to a report of a possible domestic battery in progress.
