Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. If your name is listed in the police reports, we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at had, e.g. "Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted," "Mr. Smith entered a guilty plea," or "All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped." Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of Onarga Street on July 27. There were no arrests.

Some gym shoes, four watches, two lawnmowers, and a pink child’s bike are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Minocqua Street on July 28 during a residential burglary.

A black Galaxy S4 cell phone valued at $400 was reported stolen from a counter at the Park Forest Post Office, 123 Indianwood Boulevard, on July 28. The victim related that she was in the lobby of the post office, set her cell phone on the counter, and accidentally left without the cell phone.

Stanley T. Williams, 29, 1909 Checker Square, East Hazel Crest, was arrested on August 3 and charged with aggravated assault when an officer patrolling in the 500 block of Homan Avenue approaching the Metra parking lot observed a male subject carrying a backpack walking away from the vehicles that were parked in the lot. The officer observed that the man, later identified as Williams, was yelling obscenities. The officer initiated a field stop. According to police, Williams allegedly walked aggressively toward the officer with closed fists. The officer ordered Williams to stop and Williams complied, but continued to have closed fists according to police. Concerned for officer safety, Williams was placed into custody. Police discovered an orange knife in the front pocket of Williams’ pants, according to police.
