Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Lakewood Boulevard on April 6 to investigate a report that a door to the residence appeared to be forced open. Police discovered that the door was damaged after being forced open. Nothing was reported stolen from the residence.
An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on April 9 to investigate a case of credit card fraud. A resident discovered that her debit card had been used without her permission at a Walgreens in Richton Park. Police are investigating.
William A. Smith, 18, 15318 S. Honore Ave., Harvey, was arrested on April 10 and issued a municipal citation charging obstruction of justice. An officer was patrolling in the area of Rich Road and Green Street because of recent attacks on females in the area. According to police, an officer saw Smith walking along the street and asked him his name. According to police, Smith refused to give his name, responding, "I’m 18. I ain’t got to tell you sh*t," according to police.
Jasmine N. Dobbs, 21, 4248 Pinewood Ln., Matteson, was arrested on April 11 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while license was suspended, possession of cannabis, and issued a citation charging obstructed windshield. An officer traveling southbound on Western Avenue at Fir Street observed an object hanging from the inside near of the vehicle Dobbs was driving, according to police. The officer ran the Illinois registration of the vehicle through LEADS and discovered that the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. The officer observed that the subject driving the vehicle fit the description of the registered owner, according to police. Police learned that a passenger in the vehicle, Shakita M. Valentine, 22, 3619 212th Pl., Matteson, was wanted by the Matteson Police Department. Police say Valentine admitted to having cannabis in her possession. Police discovered a sandwich bag containing nine separate sandwich bags with a green leaf-like substance they suspected to be cannabis. Valentine was issued a local ordinance citation charging possession of cannabis. Matteson police arrived on the scene and took custody of Valentine.
A juvenile was arrested on April 11 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer on foot patrol in the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard observed the juvenile reach into his pocket and attempt to light a small, cigarette-like object, which the officer suspected was cannabis.
An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on April 12 to investigate a report of identity theft. A resident told police that she had received paperwork and phone calls from several banks and businesses regarding someone using her name and personal information to open, were attempt to open, several accounts and/or credit cards. Detectives are investigating.
A green Next boy’s mountain bike valued at $100 was reported stolen from Central Park on April 12.
Police say three teenagers walking along Shabbona Drive on April 12 toward Nauvoo Street were attacked by approximately 7 subjects who appeared to be between the ages of 16 and 20.
An HP Elite Book laptop was reported stolen during a residential burglary in the 100 block of Indiana Street on April 12.
Police responded to the first block of Cedar Road on April 14 to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle that had just occurred. A resident told police that he decided to go to his vehicle and, when he stepped outside, he observed two males inside the vehicle. He called to another resident inside his home to call the police and then yelled at the subjects. The two subjects, who appeared to be 16 or 17 years of age, ran from the parking lot. Police discovered that the in-car stereo had been ripped out and was found inside of the child safety seat in the backseat. Police gathered evidence from the scene and are investigating.
Terrence Perez Lewis, 19, 317 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on April 14 and charged with battery and resisting a peace officer when police responded to the 300 block of Blackhawk Drive to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.
An Apple iPod and headphones were reported stolen from a purse left in an unlocked gym locker at Rich East High School on April 14.
Police say over 100 cans, boxes, or jars of food were discovered stolen from the St. Irenaeus Food Pantry on April 15.
A juvenile was arrested on April 15 and charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated battery, and resisting a peace officer when an officer working at Rich East High School heard to students arguing with each other.
A 47-inch Toshiba television valued at $400 was reported stolen from a residence in the 3300 block of Western Avenue on April 15. Police have suspect information and are investigating.
Rodney Allen Mason, 48, 334 Farragut St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 15 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Farragut Street to investigate a domestic battery report.
Police responded to a residence in the first block of Apple Lane to investigate a report of domestic battery on April 16. Police have suspect information and are investigating.
Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of Indiana Street on April 16 to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle. While conducting their investigation, they discovered that the vehicle, a 2010 Toyota Camry, had been involved in a crash and was towed from the crash scene, approximately half a mile west of Ashland Avenue on Sauk Trail. Police contacted the dealership where the vehicle had been purchased and discovered that, without the proper micro chipped key, the vehicle could not be driven at all. The owner of the vehicle said that none of the keys were missing. Police advised the owner that filing a false police report would result in a felony charge. Police are investigating.
Charles Harris, 53, 331 Nokomis St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 16 and charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property when police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Nokomis Street in reference to a report of criminal damage to property.
Police say someone put sugar in the gas tank of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of South Orchard Drive on April 16.
Montae W. Edwards, 19, 216 Towanda St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 16 and charged with resisting arrest when police were dispatched to the first block of Blackhawk Drive to investigate an accident involving a single vehicle.

A GPS unit and two cell phones were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Huron Street on April 17.
Police say a teenager who was walking home from Central Park on April 17 had his cell phone stolen by an 18 or 19-year-old subject who ran up from behind him, taking the phone out of his hand.
Two juveniles were arrested on April 18 and issued curfew violations when police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a complaint of loud subjects. One of the juveniles was additionally charged with obstructing identification.
Emmanuel N. Moody, 28, 4371 W. 187th Pl., Country Club Hills, was arrested on April 18 and charged with one count of felony criminal damage to property when police responded to a burglar alarm at a business in the 2500 block of Western Avenue.
A temporary Illinois license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the Metra parking lot in the 500 block of Homan Avenue on April 18.
A juvenile was arrested on April 18 and processed on a charge of criminal damage to property when police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.
Robert Griffin Jr. (no middle initial), 41, 2 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on April 18 and charged with assault and criminal trespass to land when police responded to the first block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of a disturbance.
A sliding glass door of a residence in the first block of Blackhawk Drive was reported shattered on April 19.
Jose D. Oliver Jr., 22, 9 Apple Ln., Park Forest, was arrested on April 19 and issued municipal citations charging animal running at large (two citations), fierce dog (two citations), and animal license required (two citations), when police responded to the first block of McCarthy Street to investigate a report of stray dogs. Upon arrival, police spoke with several subjects standing in the roadway who told them that there were two pit Bulls running loose in the area acting aggressively toward the subjects, according to police.
Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Sheridan Street to investigate a battery complaint. Police have suspect information and are investigating.
Jessica A. Rivas, 21, 361 Winnebago St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 20 and charged with possession of cannabis, driving while license was suspended, failure to signal when required, no front license plate, and operation of a motor vehicle without insurance. An officer on patrol in the area of Sauk Trail and Peach Street observed that the vehicle Rivas was driving westbound on Sauk Trail changed lanes without signaling, according to police.
A door of a residence in the first block of Hemlock Street was reported forced open on April 21. Nothing was taken from the residence, according to police.
Andrew J. Halbert, 23, 3130 N. Kimball Ave., Chicago, was arrested on April 21 and charged with possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the intersection of Nauvoo Street and Shabbona Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious subject.
Skylar N. Jenkins, 22, 22632 Lorraine Ct., Richton Park, was arrested on April 21 and charged with disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of disorderly conduct.
A picture window of a residence in the 300 block of Neola Street was reported shattered on April 22.
A black Samsung television valued at $600, an Xbox system valued at $649, four Xbox games valued at $40, and a number of items of clothing valued at $300, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Dogwood Street on April 22.
