Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A number of items valued at approximately $3000 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Winnebago Street on March 20. Items taken included an Xbox 360 game system valued at $300, some jewelry, a PS3 game system valued at approximately $300, and an HP laptop valued at approximately $600.

An 18 karat gold and silver woman’s Rolex watch valued at $8400 was among items reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Winnebago Street on March 20. Other items reported stolen include 314 karat gold necklace is valued at $500, a pair of pearl earrings valued at $300, a silver Bulova watch with four diamond studs on the face valued at $500, and approximately $100 cash.

A window of a residence in the 100 block of Hemlock Street was reported shattered on March 21.

A Verizon touch-screen cell phone valued at $200 was reported stolen from Somonauk Park on March 21.

Two juveniles were arrested on March 21 and charged with criminal damage to property when police responded to the first block of East Rocket Circle in reference to a report of a suspicious subject. The juveniles were charged in connection with several incidents of broken windows: one report from the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard, two reports from the first block of East Rocket Circle, and another incident reported in the 200 block of Rich Road.

The windshield of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Winnebago Street was reported shattered by a BB gun shot on March 22. Police estimate the damage at $1500.

A Samsung mobile phone was reported stolen from a classroom in Rich East High School on March 22.

A prepaid T-Mobile Samsung telephone valued at $87.79 was reported stolen from a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail on March 22.

Police continue to investigate after responding to the first block of East Rocket Circle on March 22 in reference to a report of a suspicious person, possibly a juvenile was a weapon. Police took two juveniles into custody when they discover one had an air-gun. The juveniles also were in possession of an Acer computer monitor that had been previously reported stolen, according to police. Police also arrested Marcus A. Harvey, 19, 175 Indianwood Blvd, Park Forest, during this call and charged him with possession of cannabis.

Police say a bicycle was stolen from a juvenile on March 22 by another juvenile who was wielding a small pipe or tire iron. The incident happened in the first block of Oak Lane.

Kameron  Melik Moore, 19, 17018 Kenwood Ave., South Holland, was arrested on March 23 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct and discharge of a BB gun when police were dispatched to the first block of North Arbor Trail in reference to a report of a subject shooting a BB gun.

Police say someone attempted to remove a window from a residence in the 300 block of Shabbona Drive on March 23. Police say three of four screws holding a storm door window in place had been removed.

Adrian C. Shelton Jr., 21, 230 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on March 24 and issued citations charging operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license was suspended, and disobeying a traffic control device when detectives patrolling at the intersection of Central Park and Sauk Trail observed the vehicle Shelton was driving disobeyed a red light at Central Park, according to police. A juvenile in the vehicle was charged with possession of cannabis.

A window of a residence in the 400 block of Neosho Street was reported shattered on March 24.

A resident told police on March 24 that he had received a bill from Time Warner Cable in his name with the address of an apartment in Ford Bragg, North Carolina, where he had lived in 2008 while serving in the United States Army. The cable company canceled the account. The man filed a police report to document the incident.

A 2001 Honda CRV, Illinois license plate 2446413, was reported stolen from the first block of North Street on March 24.

Police were dispatched to a house in the first block of Apple Lane on March 25 in reference to a report of dogs that had been abandoned in the garage of a vacant house. Police discovered two pit bull dogs inside the detached garage. Police learned the identity of the owner and transported the dogs to Forest South Animal Hospital where they were impounded.

A juvenile was arrested on March 25 and charged with criminal damage to property and additionally processed on an outstanding warrant when police were dispatched to the area of McCarthy and McGarity Streets in reference to a report of a subject throwing bricks at houses.

Myteria S. Franklin, 21, 3470 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on March 25 and charged with domestic battery when police responded to the 3400 block of Western Avenue to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

A 22-inch flat screen television and a PlayStation 3 game system with four controllers valued at $800 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on March 25.

Police say aluminum siding was reported stolen from the south side of a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on March 26.

Charles Lowery, 25, 8243 Langley Ave., Chicago, was arrested on March 26 and charged with possession of cannabis when an officer observed a vehicle parked in a parking lot in the first block of South Orchard Drive on March 26. The vehicle had two individuals inside and police detected the odor of burnt cannabis.

Darnell R. Love, 27, 236 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 27 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the intersection of 26th Street and Western Avenue to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Aluminum siding was reported stolen from the south side of a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on March 27.

A window of a residence in the 300 block of Westgate Drive was reported shattered on March 27.

A 32-inch LCD television valued at $350, a 37-inch LCD television valued at $450, a Gateway laptop computer valued at $650, and an Amazon Kindle Fire valued at $199, and approximately $500 cash were among the items reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Douglas Street on March 27.

A teal Mongoose bicycle valued at $200 and a red Mountain bike valued at $200 were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Natoma Street on March 27.

A candy bar valued at $1.83 was reported stolen from a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive on March 28. The suspect is a juvenile.

Brian K. Branch, 35, 68 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on March 28 and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest when police were dispatched to the first block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

A juvenile was arrested on March 28 and charged with resisting a peace officer and issued a municipal citation charging improper walking in the roadway when an officer observed the juvenile walking on Somonauk Street southbound from Blackhawk Drive.

An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on March 29 to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Police provided the victim with the Illinois Domestic Violence Act Victim Information Form and have suspect information.

Barbara J. Barnes, 1119 E. 11th St., Ford Heights, was arrested on March 29 and charged with one felony count of criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to real property when police responded to the Park Forest Police Department in reference to a domestic disturbance that was occurring in the front lobby. Police say Barnes used a blue funnel to pour sugar down the engine block and gas tank of a vehicle parked in the first block of Ash Street causing an estimated damage of $2290.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sioux Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Police have suspect information.

A Kodak digital camera, a Sony camcorder, 10 PS3 video games, a Gateway laptop computer, an Xbox 360 game system, and a Nintendo Wii were among items reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Stanton Street on March 30.

Jenora D. Kyles, 32, 405 Westgate Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on March 31 and charged with one count of child endangerment when police responded to the 400 block of Westgate Drive and discovered a juvenile sitting on a front porch of a residence, bound with gray duct tape around his wrists and ankles.

An HP Pavilion laptop computer valued at $1200, a PS3 game console value to $300, and two PS3 game console controllers valued at $100, were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Wildwood Drive on April 1.
