Washington, DC—(ENEWSPF)—June 15, 2015. Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) announced five students were accepted to the Military Service Academies with her recommendation. The Congresswoman nominated 11 students this year. Students applying to the service academies are required to have a Congressional nomination for a complete application.
The students attending service academies in the Fall from Illinois’ 8th Congressional District are:
Clare Cholewa (Saint Edward Central Catholic High School) from Elgin: Air Force Academy
Joshua Jalowiec (Fenton High School) from Wood Dale: Air Force Academy
Dillon Brown (Fenton High School) from Wood Dale: Naval Academy
James Palmer (Lake Park High School) from Bloomingdale: West Point
Christian DePinto (West Point Preperatory School) from Schaumburg: West Point
