Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–November 11, 2012. The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. 

Spc. Daniel L. Carlson, 21, of Running Springs, Calif., died Nov. 9, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan.  

Carlson was assigned to 3^rd Battalion, 25^th Aviation Regiment, 25^th Combat Aviation Brigade, 25^th Infantry Division, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.
