CALIFORNIA—(ENEWSPF)—According to the Marin County Police Department, 63 year old actor/comedian Robin Williams was found dead today of an apparent suicide. The matter is currently under investigation.
Williams rose to fame playing Mork, an alien from the mythical planet Ork in the television sitcom ‘Mork and Mindy.’ He was known for his roles in the movies ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ and ‘Jumanji.’ He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in his role of Dr. Sean Maguire in ‘Good Will Hunting.’
Susan Schneider, the actor’s wife, released the following statement:
“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one if its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin’s death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
