Teen Zone, sponsored by Park Forest’s Recreation and Parks Department, provides a safe and fun environment for youth in grades seven through 12 to enjoy sports, video games, music, mentoring, or simply to just hang out with friends. This free program is held Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Michelle Obama School (formerly Forest Trail), located at 215 Wilson Street.

New to Teen Zone this year is a special Friday night open gym, beginning Jan. 15, also at Michelle Obama School. The cost to participate in this special Friday edition of Teen Zone is $3. Between 6 to 10 p.m., Park Forest teens can enjoy all of the fun of the Tuesday to Thursday program but with later hours. Please note that a school ID is required for entry.
