Park Forest Public Library Announces Topics for Upcoming Potpourri of Lectures Series


Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–February 8, 2016.  The Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard, has announced the topics for its popular Potpourri of Lectures Series which takes place on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the Library’s Ringering Room.

The lecture topics/dates are:

  • February 11 –“It’s Your Estate, Are You in Control?’  with Ellen Kratofil
  • February 18 — “Current Trends in Technology and Cinematic Language” with Charles Celander
  • February 25 — “Is Patronage Dead — the Shakman Decree in the New Millennium” with Peter Monahan
  • March 3 — “Lincoln’s Constitutional Re-do” with Bill Mitchell
  • March 10 — “S.Y. Agnon and Yochi Brandes: Israeli Authors: Past and Present” with Rabbi Carmit Harari
  • March 17 — “Veterans’ Issues” with Park Forest Village Manager Tom Mick
  • March 24 — “Insights Into the Craft of Writing” with Michael Burge
  • March 31 — “Fling into Spring” with Penny Shnay
  • April 7 — “Biking Spain’s Costa Brava, Home of Dali, Miro and Gaudi” with Al Sturges
