Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– ME4E, Multidisciplinary Education for the Environment, has been working with the students in School District 163 for the past several years. Whether it’s a monarch program with the kindergarteners or the seventh graders getting a better understanding of their water usage, enriching the lives of the community’s youth has been a goal for ME4E.

To help facilitate communication about the benefits of learning in an outdoor classroom and how their programs correlate with current school curriculum, ME4E will be at the numerous School District 163 Open Houses this fall. They are there to answer questions about this year’s programs, offer helpful hints to prepare your child for their trip and to show examples of previous student’s hard work. If your child was a former participant in one of their programs or this is their first year in the district, stop by the ME4E table at your school’s open house.

To learn more about the services ME4E provides, visit www.ME4E.org. They were also be at Central Park Wetlands, a 45 acre wetland/peat bog on September 7th during Park Forest’s 5K Walk the Wetland. This was one of many activities during their Scenic 5 and More event.

Central Park Wetland is one of the best municipal wetland projects in the Chicago region, so don’t miss out. Nurture the budding naturalist in your family and discover a local natural gem with ME4E.
