Park Forest Area League of Women Voters to Host Fall Kick-off Pot Luck Dinner on September 9


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 25, 2015. The Park Forest Area League of Women Voters will hold its Fall Kick-Off Pot Luck Dinner on Wednesday, September 9. The dinner will be followed by a Panel Discussion: “Is There Really Crime In Our Area?” Police Chiefs from University Park, Park Forest, Richton Park and Matteson have been invited to speak about crime statistics in their communities. The discussion will focus on burglaries, robberies, domestic violence, gang activity and general risks to personal safety.

The Pot Luck will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Panel Discussion starts at 7:15 p.m. with questions and answers from the audience at 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Richton Park Community Center, 4445 Sauk Trail (enter through the eastern most door of the Municipal Center Complex).

The program is open to the public and anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend to learn more about this important issue.
