Grande Prairie Singers to Perform March 8 at Faith United Protestant Church


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—February 19, 2015. The Grande Prairie Singers honor true lovers of all generations with a pairing of Henry Purcell’s version of the timeless tale of “Dido and Aeneas” with the choral version of the Leonard Bernstein- Stephen Sondheim magnificent 20th century musical “West Side Story” in their second concert of the season, 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in Faith United Protestant Church, 10 Hemlock, Park Forest.

Taken from the pages of classic literature, “Dido and Aeneas” recounts to love of Dido, Queen of Carthage, for the Trojan prince, Aeneas. Their story is coupled with that of Tony and Maria’s great love.

For nearly 40 years, the Singers have been sharing their passion for great singing with their audience in bringing song to the Southland.
