Tall Grass Arts Association Presents the 59th Annual Park Forest Art Fair on Sept. 20 & 21

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—September 14, 2014. The 59th Annual Park Forest Art Fair will be held on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in DownTown Park Forest.

The Park Forest Art Fair is the second oldest juried fair in the Chicagoland area.  Artists come from all over the United States to participate.  Visitors come from all over the Chicagoland area to enjoy the fair.

The participating artists work in a variety of media from painting, printmaking and photography to jewelry, wood, metal and fiber arts.

There are many activities for children including the traditional art contest, tie dying, face painting and story times and art projects hosted by the Park Forest Library.

The Village will host a music fest all day Saturday.  The musical groups include Neal Alger playing Brazilian music, Lexus BMI playing R & B, Soul and Pop, TL Williams with Jazz, Funk and Soul and, back by popular demand, Blue Willie T and Da Midnight Lovers, playing Jazz.

On Sunday, fest favorite, Patchouli, will play folk music.

The Tall Grass Gallery will be open all day.  The exhibit, in the gallery, “Explosive Impressions”, presents the works of approximately 60 juried, Tall Grass Artists.  The Gallery is open to the public, free of charge.

Artists return to Park Forest for the art fair, year after year, because fair-goers have a reputation for stopping and chatting with the artists, something the artists love and that does not happen at all fairs.

So, come to the fair.  Enjoy the wonderful art.  Shop.  See old friends.  Enjoy yourself.
