Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area will host their annual Summer Breakfast on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 9:00 AM at the Park Forest Discovery Center, located in the Aquacenter building at 30 North Orchard in Park Forest.
Rob Gunther, Director of the Village of Park Forest’s Parks and Recreation Department, will speak to us about the Village’s plans to revitalize the parks. This includes a completely new approach to some of the playgrounds, centered around natural playgrounds. Following the meeting, those who were interested are invited to walk on the boardwalk in the adjacent Central Park Wetlands.
Guests are welcome and anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
