Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—June 23, 2014. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive, Park Forest, will host a screening of the documentary film ‘United States of ALEC’ on Friday, June 27 beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Journalist Bill Moyers looks at the most influential corporate-funded political force, ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, which lobbies to increase corporate profits at public expense and without public knowledge. Come learn low this organization works to diminish workers’ rights, make it harder for Americans to vote, limit corporate liability for harm caused to consumers, and more. A discussion will follow the film screening.
