Park Forest League of Women Voters and Committee for Non-Partisan Government to Co-sponsor Candidate Forum Sunday, February 17

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)--January 31, 2013 - The League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area and the Park Forest Committee for Non-Partisan Government will sponsor a Candidate Forum on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Park Forest Village Hall Board Room, 350 Victory Drive. Candidates running for Village Trustee positions and Library Board Trustee positions are invited to speak to the public.

The sponsors of the forum firmly believe that it is imperative for voters to have an accurate understanding of the position of each candidate running for office. Our community is deeply concerned about issues facing each board.

The Forum will begin at 1:00pm with the Village Trustee candidates speaking first for about 90 minutes. There are ten (10) candidates for Village Trustee. Following that session Library Board Trustee candidates will speak for about one (1) hour. There are seven (7) candidates for Library Board Trustee.

Plan to attend the Candidate Forum. It will be an opportunity for you to discuss issues deemed important by community residents.
