Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Village of Park Forest will host the 2nd Park Forest Idol talent showcase on Saturday, January 22nd from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Freedom Hall’s Nathan Manilow Theatre, 410 Lakewood Blvd. The competition will feature singers, dancers and rappers (new category), with a total of 12 acts and a Special Guest band, "Waiting on Winter."
The finalists advancing to the January 22nd show wowed judges during the November 19th, 20th and December 11th auditions. Forty Park Forest residents between the ages of 8 and 70, along with a few repeats from the previous year, auditioned to compete for the 2011 Idol crown.
Participants who did not make it to the finals were encouraged to send their friends and family to the Park Forest website to vote for their favorite on-line Idol competitor. The on-line winner will win a trophy on January 22nd.
All contestants have an opportunity to win.
Tickets to the show are currently available for $5 by visiting the Economic Development and Planning Office, located on the second floor of Village Hall, or by calling 708.283.5621. Tickets sold the day of the show will be $10.
