Election Day Response
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the residents of Rich Township who voted for me (all 2,620) on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 for Township Clerk. While I am disappointed in the loss, I am deeply saddened by the press release distributed by your publicaion on April 6th, the night before the election relating to my party choice, running mate or reasons for campaigning under another party brand besides the Democratic party organization.

I will not dignify my responses to that piece except to say that I truly congratulate all of the Rich Township incumbents on their win, especially Calvin Jordan Highway Commissioner, a Democrat who won with 76% of the vote. Please continue to service the residents with dignity and integrity that you most definitely have. Politics is a blood sport and I have learned that you win, even when you lose. Now you know who I am.
