Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Village Manager Tom Mick told ENEWSPF that Park Forest Village Hall will remain closed all day on Friday, August 27, due to an extended power outage.

The Village posted messages on its Facebook page this morning alerting the public that Village Hall would be closed. ENEWSPF carried these messages in a blog post:

Village Hall remains closed as ComEd crews continue to work to resolve the power outage. Park Forest Officials hope to open now at 2 p.m.

Village Hall will open at noon today due to a power outage. ComEd is looking into the problem and hopes to have power restored shortly.
Village Manager Mick told ENEWSPF he eventually decided to not open Village Hall at all on Friday, "I decided to close Village Hall for the rest of the day with power still out as of early afternoon."
The Village also released the following statement on its Facebook page shortly after 2:00 p. m.:
Village Hall will be closed today due to a power outage. Village Officials originally hoped to open at noon, but ComEd crews were unable to quickly correct the problem.
The power outage only affects Village Hall, the manager said, as ComEd crews continue to work.
